While on a Carnival Cruise, as with most cruises, you are constantly barraged with food - most of which is excellent eatings, and some, like this shot suggests, is simply for looking at. |

The next year I went on another cruise to Cozumal, Mexico and took a day trip affectionately called the "Burp and Surf" (not the formal name). This involves snorkeling the coral reef, followed by several hours on a pristine beach. You are taken there and back on a catermaran sailboat. This shot immediately followed being dared to climb the Jib Pole, ...which I did. Unfortunately, I went up and down the pole too fast for the person holding my camera to figure out how to use it quick enough to capture the act. |

| In January of 1997 I visited the family lodge out in Durango, Colorado for the first time despite the fact that the family has owned the lodge for decades before then. This picture was taken days after the single largest recorded snowfall in history. The snow drift leaning against the leftside of the garage is where the front door is. Needless to say, we did not use it. |

| Taken from the balcony of the Lodge's master bedroom this shot suggests the remoteness of the area the lodge is in. The lodge is quite literally the last hookup on the telephone poles for electric and phone north of Durango. A large portion of the land in the foreground here is also part of the property, thus ensuring a lack of nearby neighbors. |

| Are you surprised to see another sunset? This one was taken from the other side of the lodge than the previous photo. |
